Consigli a chi

I would like to comment on JW’s list
1.Running –I would prefer fast walking, its easy to get injured running , which can put you out of action for a time. If you are in urban surroundings you are likely to be facing several attackers-if you think as a senior you can outdistance teenagers or guys in their 20’s you are living in a computer game. Try and negotiate if possible but if you are going to act make it quick and brutal.
2.Heavy bag –you are more likely to hurt yourself training, if you have been in MA for a while you went through this years ago, you are not going to outpunch a younger man, you will have lost a good percentage of your physical power. Concentrate on using fingers, palms, elbows on weak points-eyes, ears, throat, genitals, knees. Incidentally wear solid shoes-no sandals
3. Weights –agreed-keep up muscle and bone strength
4. No idea what ‘door guarfing ‘ is
5. If you don’t have fajin get it-it does not seem to deteriorate with age
6. Forms are useful for balance, and I if realistic can be used as shadow boxing
7. Weapons-forget traditional-think credit card, keys, coins in handkerchief, stick, bottle, umbrella.
I would like to add the following
8. Continue teaching and mix it up with your students once in a while-its easy to think you still have the same level of skill, only trying it out will tell you if its true
9.Check your lifestyle:
No Sodas[bone deterioration, diabetes]
Minimal fast food[obesity, beer belly]
Regular sleep[reaction time]
Eye exercises[space perception]
Meditate[clear mind in confrontation]
Practice ‘whipping ‘ body [increase speed]
